The Journey 2020 collection release is probably my favorite collection from Spell Designs yet. I bought 3 pieces from this collection - the Angels Abode raglan tee, Rani maxi skirt, and the Daisy Chain maxi dress. There's 3 more pieces that i'd like to have but I can't be spending ALL my money on clothes (what a shame I've got to eat and pay bills too)..
The Journey collection includes bright floral prints (typical of Spell & The Gypsy Collective), paisley print, heavily embroidered fabric (Daisy chain - Pictured), organic cotton tops, sparkly knits, cotton & linen blend fabrics, faux fur, leather boots, and the intimates are made from recycled polyester. So this collection is quite varied in the range of items, which is part of the reason why it's a real winner for me.
The 3 pieces that I purchased are all of exceptional quality and very comfortable to wear. The raglan tee is a super soft fabric, and as is usually the case with Spell Designs Tee's it's a roomy fit. I wouldn't say that it's over sized, but generous fitting and generally i'd recommend sizing down in Spell Tee's if you prefer a closer fit.
The burnt orange colored Rani skirt is a cotton & linen blend woven fabric and it's quite heavy, so it can be an all seasons piece. This skirt runs small in the waist so i'd suggest sizing up if you're thinking about it. See this blog post for styling ideas for this vintage inspired skirt.
Sadly I haven't had the opportunity to wear the vintage fabric inspired Daisy Chain dress out yet, only tried it on at home. This spell dress like most of them is absolutely stunning, heavily detailed, as feminine as they come, and a new favorite. The Daisy Chain dress is full length with an open back and ties at the back. This dress is true to size.
Hopefully I can obtain a few more pieces from The Journey collection in future, and i'll update with a styling post for the Daisy Chain maxi dress and Raglan tee once the Covid19 lock down is over and I can hook up with my photographer again!
